ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUBAI DURING MONSON

The city of dreams, which is a home to both the rich and the homeless, the city with so many opportunites, with so many unpredictable things. From Bombay to Mumbai, everything about this city changed except the stunning beauty of this city when it rains! Thanks to bollywood movies that make us believe that a city during monsoons can be this pretty! The Rains are to Mumbai what Momos are to Dehli, what Snowfall is to Kashmir, and what Rajinikanth is to Tamil Nadu. You cannot picture a bucolic scene in Mumbai without the rains. If you are somebody who doesn't know a lot about Mumbai, think of a conversation at your office, when it's raining outside, your colleagues are talking about trains, rains and eating pakodas with cutting chai at the tapri down the galli. This is what Mumbai is. The potholes on roads that turn into puddles during the monsoons are in fact good luck charms for somebody leaving their home in the morning for some auspicious work. When students leave their house for school without carrying an umbrella thinking that the sky would remain clear, it would not rain that day and comes back with a muddy uniform and hair dripping wet, their mother waiting to dry their hair, is the true picture of monsoon in Mumbai. Though the rains in Mumbai may be unpredictable, they are sure to bring along some happiness is whatever form. With all these mushy feelings, there is also the fear of floods. But even with those struggles and obstacles, you can always count on the fact that you won't ever be alone. Even when you get stuck somewhere, do not hesitate to ask for help, because help will be there. The people of Mumbai are the most important factor that makes Mumbai one of the best cities to live in! "Main zindagi ka sath nibhata chala gaya.

they just keep going on.

Waking up to the smell of the first monsoon rain,

some thinking when the water on road will drain.

After a drought of more than half year,

we had a most refreshing shower!

you can hide from it, you can run from it,

but you cannot ignore it!

you can call this month heart of the of the year,

but with all the happiness comes the fear.

the fear of flood and heavy rain,

we hope and pray, the rain god will do hid part.

but the spirit of the city during times magnify manifold,

it's only during a crisis, when you see people's heart of gold!

the monsoon in mumbai is really very special,

to get wet in rain, which is both harsh and gentle,

to see the waves buffet on the Gateway and Marine Drive,

pakoda and hot chai on such days is something on another level!

The torrential rains arrive after a torrid, long and tiring summer. The rain starts it's journey from first week of June in the southwest coast. then it Travels up through the state of Kerala in mostly in the first week of June itself, up towards North India and reaches in Mumbai at around second week of June. The joy of getting wet in first Rain hits different! This is the time when children eagerly wait to get wet in the first drop of the first rain. But with all the curiosity and joy monsoon is also very important for Agricultural purpose. Many Farmers wait for this month from so long so that rain does it's work and they can rest. Monsoon in Mumbai has many advantages along with disadvantages as well. Here, in Mumbai rains can get extreme.
