There are things that we realize later in life. How to be productive is one of them. We all feel that somehow the 24 hrs in a day are less for the loads of work that we have to do, but in reality, it isn’t, it just depends on how we channel our time.

Today we’ll be giving you few tips that’ll prove to be an asset in the future and will increase your productivity.

To-Do Lists

You might find to-do lists stupid, I know what I have to do so how is this gonna help? right

In our busy schedules, we have loads of work to be done all in our mind stressing us out, making a short to-do list will help, a list as short as 4-5 tasks a day and an empty task for something that comes as urgent to be done on that day

A successful to-do-list system is prescribed by Tim Ferris, author of The four-hour workweek His system tells you to take a notecard every morning and write only 3-5 big items.

When you choose a shortlist the forces you to choose and accomplish the things that you might usually tend to push to the next day because you don’t like doing them rather while making a list they will get done

Tim Ferriss talks about big items, the things that are causing you the most stress. “They’re often things that have been punted from one day’s to-do list to the next, to the next, to the next, and so on,” Ferriss says.

When there are only five things to do, you can make sure you finish them today and give no excuses

After they are done the most satisfying thing is to strike them out and when all are done tear the note, that feeling of accomplishment is unparalleled.

Sleep is the best Meditation

A great supporter of a good night's sleep. If you don't sleep well, you won't feel well. It is really necessary to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep each night. Even during exams!

I always have a headache the next day if I don't sleep properly. You're recharging your brain and body for the next sunrise, do it well!

You're your biggest competition

Almost all of your problems can be solved if you work on YOURSELF. It's simple. Haven't you heard that YOU are in charge of your happiness? YOU control everything happening to you, even your thoughts have tremendous power! You attract the people around you accordingly, your peer group, colleagues, friends.

Set a goal and behave as you have already achieved it.

Each day if you do a little bit better than yesterday, the cumulative of the whole year will be more than 100% of output.

Each time you're trying to give an exam, trying to do the same project/presentation given by your boss, trying to complete the same root canal case in another patient, only keep in mind how much better can you do than last time. Forget everything about everyone and just try to improve your own self. You will see the magic

Read more often

Reading is working on life, your career and you as a person

It is scientifically proven that reading reduces stress, improves your focus and concentration, improves your memory, expands your vocabulary, and improves your communication skills.

Hence will boost your productivity levels

Starting a reading habit seems tough at the start, but once you get the habit every book you read makes you feel wiser.

Power of habit

Habits are more powerful than goals. Good habits will bring you closer to your goal and bad habits act as hurdles.

Starting a habit feels like a burden, you have to force your self, be conscious that you do not break the streak.

A study published in the European Journal of Social Psychology shows that on average it takes more than two months before a new behavior becomes automatic — 66 days to be exact, depending on the person and their circumstances.

Thus to reach a specific goal work on shaping positive habits, habits as strong as brushing your teeth in the morning.

Hope these tips have been valuable.

Time is not something that can be borrowed or paused, so always remember to spend on the things you deeply desire.
